Housewife ends life, moneylender booked

Nagpur: Unable to repay the spiralling interest and loan of ₹72,000 taken from a money-lender for her daughters naming ceremony, housewife Kirti Meshram ended her life at Hilltop Society in Wadi on November 24. The cops have registered an offence against money-lender Preeti Santape on the basis of Kirtis suicide note.Its learnt Kirti wanted to celebrate her daughters naming ceremony, for which she borrowed the money from Preeti in December 2022.Kirti had returned ₹40,000 in June this year. Preeti told her that another ₹46,000 was to be paid as interest.
