Nagpur: Led by Sarvesh Ikhankar and Yash Chaude, Vidarbha gained upper hand against Odisha in their Vijay Merchant Trophy opener at Amingaon Cricket Ground in Guwahati on Saturday.After restricting Odisha to 224, Vidarbha piled up Vidarbha posted 352 for three in 97.4 overs to take a vital 128-run lead by the end of Day 2. Opener Ikhankar scored 105 while Chaude was unlucky to miss out on a century, getting out on 99.Apart from the knocks by the two, two century partnerships were the highlight of the day.Ikhankar and Shubh Rawal (43; 60b; 8x4) added 77 runs for the first wicket. Seven runs adrift of his fifty, Rawal was stumped off the bowling of Jogeswar Bag.In the company of Chaude, Ikhankar continued to score all around the ground to score 105 in 170 balls hitting 14 boundaries. Chaude and Krishna Sonkusre added 135 runs for the third wicket.
