Nagpur: Labour court administrative judge Prasad Pore, 46, who had undergone lap cholecystectomy to treat gall bladder stones at a private hospital at Dhantoli on Monday, collapsed after reaching his residence at Civil Lines on Tuesday. He was declared dead after immediately returning to the same hospital.The hospital said Pore was admitted with abdominal pain and hypertension among other complexities.He was discharged in stable condition and could walk on his own. The hospital sources claimed Poresdeath could be due to clot in brain or heart.The family members have alleged medical negligence in the case and approached the Dhantoli police station. A case of accidental death was registered at Dhantoli police station, said CP Amitesh Kumar, adding the aspects of medical negligence would be probed as per the initial contention of the deceaseds kin. He, however, said no formal complaint has been recieved yet from the judges relatives.Kumar also confirmed a post-mortem would be conducted and videographed at the Government Medical College and Hospital with a team of forensic experts. City police are likely to forward the case papers and medical documents to an expert board at GMCH to ascertain if there was any medical negligence.Two nabbed for series of sandalwood tree theftsTwo Jalna-based sandalwood thieves, Sabir Aziz Pathan and Mohd Fakir Pathan, were held by Sitabuldi police on December 3. The two were conducting a recce at Mure Memorial Hospital campus, which has sandalwood trees, when the cops nabbed them.In the past, Sabir and Fakir have been involved in nine cases of sandalwood thefts in the city. The two were nabbed based on CCTV footage and probe conducted following a theft at the Buti Bungalow at Civil Lines earlier this year.
