Every year, 600 jobs fairs are conducted. Earlier, ₹60,000 was allocated per camp. Now, the (skill development) minister has made it ₹5 lakh per camp, he said.Big companies from Tech Mahindra, Reliance, recruiters from all four plants of M&M had come. The 1,175 MoUs entered into earlier with industry came handy during this event. Those who say they are not able to find jobs actually didnt get such a platform. Jobs are there but they are unable to reach employers. We will replicate this event in every district of Maharashtra. Excellent starts up in science and technology, agriculture, especially from Nagpur and Vidarbha, were present here, he said. The deputy CM said it is believed that Bengaluru and Hyderabad are start up capitals of the country. But I always say Maharashtra is the start up capital of the country. As per a recent survey, Maharashtra has the highest number of unicorns. The most number of start ups are coming up in agriculture. Start up ecosystem would be taken to rural parts, tier II and III cities. Youths are also turning into job givers. Those who couldnt get job offers must not feel sad. We shall keep working to find a job for them, he said.
