Two arrested in Chatra with brown sugar

Chatra: Giddhaur police arrested two persons during a vehicle checking drive on Chatra-Hazaribag road near Datua forest on Thursday and seized 18 grams of brown sugar, Rs 2,040 cash, three smartphones and a bike.Simaria sub-divisional police officer Ashok Priyadarshi said the duo were identified as Saurabh Kumar Dangi, a resident of Sherghati in Gaya of Bihar, and Krishna Kumar Dangi of Lowagadda village under Chatra Sadar police station. Priyadarshi said a case was lodged against the duo in Giddhaur police station under the NDPS Act. In Goa, continuous rainfall and strong winds damaged properties and caused disruptions in traffic. The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of increased rainfall in the coming days.
