SBPS celebrates Annual Day -- ‘Shraddha’

Marking the completion of a successful academic year dedicated to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi celebrated the Annual Day Shraddha on the theme Mera Sara Tujhpe Wara: the patriotic journey of Sardar Udham Singh with great elation and gusto. The spectacular evening commenced with the welcome of the Chief Guest, Babulal Marandi, Member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly (Ex. CM), Prof. (Dr.) Savita Sengar, Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi and other dignitaries followed by auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the eminent guests. This was followed by the inauguration of the heritage book- Ranchi, my city. The cultural programme began with the welcome song Subh Swagatam accompanied by the Orchestra. The audience was highly appreciative of the soulful symphony of the budding musicians. The highlight of the programme was the dance drama which depicted the patriotic bravery of Shaheed Udham Singh. The act also depicted the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for the freedom of our country. The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and sacrifices of great leaders like Bhagat Singh along with the revenge of Shaheed Uddham Singh were the pivotal part of the narrative. Beats of Bhangda, symphony of orchestra, synchronisation of steps in Chhau, Gatka, Kalaripayattu, cultural dances of various foreign countries reverberated in the air. The title song Mera Sara Tujhpe Wara diffused in the air and captivated the audience. The tiny tots dressed up as various freedom fighters, unsung heroes and Bharat Ratna achievers, paid tribute to them. The Chief Guest appreciated the concerted efforts of entire SBPS fraternity. He also thanked the teaching community and education system for instilling such great values in the present generation. School Head Personnel & Admin., Dr. Pradip Varma, appreciated the efforts of the school for conducting such a successful event. Principal, Paramjit Kaur, lauded the efforts of the SBPS fraternity and wished everyone on the occasion of 15th Foundation Day. She also remarked that todays youth should take inspiration from Udham Singhs life so that twenty years later their life becomes a message for the upcoming generation. Further, she said that they should remain focused and should not be deviated by the temptations that come their way and promoted the judicious use of technology and encouraged them to appreciate the beauty of Nature.
