KALYAN: The Commissioner of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), Dr. Bhausaheb Dangde, has been transferred, and Dr. Indurani Jakhar has been appointed as the new Commissioner of KDMC.After the transfer of Vijay Suryavanshi, Dangde assumed the position of Municipal Commissioneron July 13, 2022. Serving in this capacity for 1 year and 3 months, his unexpected transfer before the completion of his tenure has raised eyebrows.Throughout his tenure, Dangde focused on expediting various ongoing projects. However, criticism from former corporators of the ruling party suggested dissatisfaction with the pace of development under his leadership.Dr. Dangde has now been transferred to the position of Managing Director of Petrochemicals Corporation. Dr. Indurani Jakhar, a 2016 batch IAS officer and the current Managing Director of Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal, will take over as the first woman commissioner at KDMC.
