Two incidents of fire reported in city, none injured in mishap

Thane: Two separate incidents of fire were reported on Saturday in Thane city. No casualties were reported.According to the regional disaster management cell (RDMC), in the first incident, a fire was reported at around 6.45 am in a room in the second floor flat of a six-storey Yadav apartment in the Amrut Nagar, Mumbra. Clothes, and furniture were charred in the incident, said an RDMC official.In the second incident, a minor fire was reported in the switch board of an apartment on the fifth floor of a high rise building in Manpada at around 2.45 am.The official said that some of the papers and other material were destroyed in the fire. The power supply was snapped temporarily for safety purpose, the officer informed. The fire occurred on the 11th floor of Amrut Heaven, owned by the Patil family. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the cause of the fire is still unknown. The fire was controlled by the fire brigade within one hour, but the bedroom and kitchen of the flat were completely destroyed.
