THANE: The Thane police have booked two persons including a history-sheeter for allegedly attacking a hotelierwith a chopper and injuring his hand on Wednesday. The incident took place at a hotel in Brahmand circle following an argument over delayed food order. The accused have been identified as Abhi Patil, and Onkar Bhosale who has multiple cases of body offences registered against him.Both are absconding. The assailants, along with a third person, visited the hotel and ordered food. When the order was delayed, they created a commotion and were asked to leave. In retaliation, they returned with a butcher knife and Onkar Bhosale attacked the staff, injuring the hotel partner. The injured individual was admitted to a private hospital. The police have registered a case and initiated a manhunt to apprehend the accused duo.Two separate fire incidents reported in Thane, no injuries reportedTwo separate fire incidents were reported in Thane city. The first incident occurred at the second-floor apartment room of the six-storeyed Yadav apartment in the Amrut Nagar area of Mumbra. Clothes, sofa, and furniture were charred. The second incident happened on the fifth floor of a high-rise building in Manpada, where a switchboard caught fire. Papers and other materials also caught fire. The Thane Municipal Corporation and the fire brigade responded to both incidents.
