Thane: Nearly 17 months after his rebellion and anointment as CM, Eknath Shinde on Monday hinted at fresh political disclosures through a biopic sequel on his mentor and late Thane Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe in 2024.Shinde was speaking at the launch of the sequel in Thane, where he said the film will reveal several unknown aspects related to Thane politics(and Matoshree), which he said wasnt possible to show in the first movie.The first film - Dharmaveer, Mukkampost Thane - focussed on sketching Dighes loyalty towards Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray and his initiatives to get the first seat of power for Sena in Thane, while the sequel will portray other unknown aspects of Dighes personality.Certain uncomfortable moments like Dighes death, fleetingly presented in the first film, and a powerful leader questioning about his property, could be explored now, hinted a crew member. Incidentally, Shindes character that will graduate as CM in the sequel is likely to justify his June 2020 rebellion and its trigger in the sequel, it is learnt.A few scenes in the first film made some people (Uddhav Thackeray) uncomfortable. No doubt there were some restrictions while presenting the first film (released when Shinde was part of undivided Sena). Even though the creative team resisted, we had to modify a few scenes. But now I am in charge and will ensure all hidden facts are presented, Shinde said.
