Collegian booked for abetting his pal’s suicide

Thane: More than four months after an 18-year old woman allegedly hanged self at a Thane residence, her male friend who studied with her at college has been booked for abetting her suicide. The dead teenagers mother had registered a complaint, accusing the classmate of abetting her daughters suicide.The woman was found dead at her home in Wagle Estate on July 7.She was found hanging from an iron hook of the ceiling. No suicide note had been found.According to the mothers complainant, the classmate used to chat with her daughter on phone. At one point, when the young woman started avoiding him, the classmate started threatening and harassing the teenager, according to her mothers police complaint, which alleges that this spurred her daughter to end her life.The mother has stated that her daughter and the accused were friends. They used to talk on phone. If she avoided him, he forced her to speak...
