Six children go missing in Navi Mumbai within 24 hours; one traced

THANE: In a span of 24 hours, four minor girls and two boys went missing from various locations within Navi Mumbai in Maharashtras Thane district. As reported by the police on Tuesday, these minors, aged between 12 and 15, went missing between December 3 and 4.Among the six children, a 12-year-old boy, missing from Koparkhairne on Monday, was eventually located at Thane railway station and reunited with his family, according to an official statement.Providing further details on the other cases, the official mentioned that a 13-year-old girl from Kalamboli area had attended a birthday celebration of her classmate on Sunday and did not return home.Similarly, a 14-year-old girl from Panvel visited a gathering at her friends house on Sunday and did not return to her residence.In the Kamothe area, a 12-year-old girl vanished after leaving her house on Monday.Another instance involved a 13-year-old girl who left her Rabale residence for school on Monday but did not come back.Additionally, a 13-year-old boy from Rabale went to a public toilet during the early hours of Monday and has remained unaccounted for since then.Authorities have registered cases of kidnapping at the respective police stations, and extensive efforts are underway to locate and bring back the missing children, the official confirmed.
