Shiva’s crescent to crown proposed international cricket stadium in Kashi

Varanasi: The facade of the proposed international cricket stadium at Ganjari will bear features reminiscent of Kashi and its lord Vishwanath, reports Rajeev Dikshit. The roofs will resemble crescent that crowns Lord Shiva and floodlights like tridents. The stadium will have modern facilities and a seating capacity of 30,000. The event is expected to be attended by star cricketers and officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India and UP Cricket Association.
