Trader and son shot by owner of adjacent shop

Varanasi: A cloth shop owner Abdul Rashid (55) and his son Shoeb (22) were shot dead by owner of the neighbouring shop Dinesh Gupta and his sons in the busy Sardaha market under Maharajganj police station in Azamgarh district, Wednesday morning. Heavy police force was deployed in the market following the incident, while IG Azamgarh range Akhilesh Kumar, SP Azamgarh Anurag Arya and other senior officials maintained vigil in the area.Following spot inspection, IG Azamgarh said, Rashid and his son were shot dead by Dineshs family members. Dinesh and Rashids shops are adjacent to each other in Sardaha market and they often quarrelled. Police had to take preventive actions in their dispute in the past too. On Wednesday morning their dispute turned murderous.On the complaint of Rashids family, named FIR was lodged against Dinesh, his wife Nirmala, sons Pavan, Pradeep and Pankaj.
