VARANASI: Criticising the support for Hamas coming from some quarters in India, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said sending such people to jail might be the "best possible solution". Biswa was interacting with reporters after coming out of the Vindhyachal temple in Mirzapur district on Saturday."If somebody thinks that coming on roads in support of Hamas is their right, they should always keep it in mind that sending them behind the bars is our right. There is no need for major analysis to find out a solution to this problem as sending them to jail is the best solution," he said. Biswa said those extending support to Hamas should always keep it in mind that the countrys interest is greater than protecting the interest of their vote bank.Supporting Hamas is like extending support to terrorism. India is the worst victim of terrorism as terror groups had remained active with the plans of destruction. Our neighbour is also like the same (Hamas), he said. About challenges being faced by Bharatiya Janata Party in five states where assembly polls are going to take place, Biswa said that elections are a routine process in a democracy. People should keep the countrys atmosphere in mind and give their votes to BJP and extend their support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development, he added.Earlier, Biswa along with local MP and Union minister Anupriya Patel and BJP MLA Ratnakar Mishra reached Vindhyachal temple to offer prayers. He said that it was his long wish to come to the courtyard of Maa Vindhyavasini to seek blessing and it was fulfilled on Saturday. Biswa had reached Vindhyachal after landing at LBSI airport in Varanasi, where BJP leaders welcomed him.
