Campus dialogue on aftermath of novel coronavirus pandemic held

Varanasi: An engaging campus dialogue with students on Reflections on Science in the Aftermath of the Coronavirus Pandemic, was organized by the research cell of IIT BHU with Padma Bhushan Prof Padmanabhan Balaram, former director of IISc Bangalore, on Monday. He spoke about the history of science and how we advanced from primal beings to using microscopes and telescopes to understand different worlds. He explained Dr Richard Feynmanns atomic hypothesis that in the event of a cataclysm where all knowledge was to be destroyed, humans should start their research with the fact that all things are made of matter. They also highlight that the university is an autonomous institution, and the teachers political affiliations may compromise the impartiality of the election process.IIT-Patna, France institute ink pact for research studiesThe Indian Institute of Technology-Patna (IIT-P) and Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse-France have signed an MoU for collaborative studies and research. The agreement includes academic cooperation, mutual understanding, exchange of staff and students, joint supervision of doctoral studies, lectures, symposia, and internship opportunities. The purpose of the MoU is to promote academic collaboration in various fields of mutual interest.
