NR restores services at Vns junction after remodelling

Varanasi: After completing the yard remodelling work, construction of two new platforms and increasing length of eight, new entry point at Maalgodam and a foot overbridge, the Northern Railway restored all services at Varanasi Junction (Cantt railway station) from Sunday late evening.While 15018 Gorakhpur-Lokmanyatilak Kashi Express train was the first to pass through Varanasi Junction after restoration of the passenger services following 45-day break, 11094 Varanasi-Mumbai CST Mahanagri Express was the first train to originate from this station, said station director Gaurav Dixit while talking to TOI on Monday. The train will have eight coaches and will run six days a week, covering a distance of 574 km in approximately 8 hours. Stops include Purulia station, Bokaro Steel City station, Gaya junction, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya station.
