4 held over eve-teasing on IIT-BHU campus

VARANASI: Police arrested four youths for allegedly harassing and passing lewd comments at two women research scholars of IIT-BHU on the campus on Tuesday evening. The two were caught by security staff of the universitys proctorial board and handed over to Lanka police.According to reports, the two scholars were standing near their hostel gate, when four youths reached there in a four-wheeler and later started misbehaving with them. The girls informed the proctorial board about the incident. The proctorial staff swung into action and caught all four of them, before handing them over to Lanka police. The cops also seized the four-wheeler. Lanka police station officer Ashwani Pandey said all the accused were sent to jail.
