Varanasi: Continuing action against jailed mafia don and four times former MLA Vijay Mishra under Gangster Act, a team of Bhadohi police and district administration on Tuesday attached a plot worth Rs 23.2 crore purchased by him in Prayagraj district in the name of his daughter and granddaughter with illegally earned money.Providing details of Tuesdays action, SP Bhadohi Meenakshi Katyayan said under the ongoing drive to hit the economic empire of mafia and gangsters, a 0.773 hectare plot worth Rs 23.2 crore purchased with illegally earned money by Mishra in the name of his daughter Sima Mishra and granddaughter Vaishnavi came to light in Pattidhina Lalapur under Phoolpur police station in Prayagraj district.Following investigation by police, a report had been forwarded to district magistrate Bhadohi, said Katyayan, adding that taking note of this, the DM issued order to confiscate this property under Gangster Act.To execute the order, a team of Bhadohi police and land revenue department officials reached Prayagraj on Tuesday and with the cooperation of local police, they have completed the process of attachment.The assets of Vijay Mishra, his family members, relatives and gang members have been under lens for almost three years. The NIA, following the order of a court, has attached Yaseens immovable properties located in his village in Jammu.
