Varanasi: The English department of the Banaras Hindu University, in collaboration with the Malaviya Centre for Ethics and Human values, is going to organise a two-day international conference on Reimagining Planetary and The Earth family on Friday and Saturday. This two-day conference seeks to explore the planet Earth as one where the hierarchical order is absent and which, instead promises a heterarchy foregrounding social, political and cultural power inequities. The conference is expected to witness the participation of 300 experts and scholars from across the world including UK, USA, Sri Lanka and Nepal. During the conference, the experts will be brainstorming and exchanging insights on topics including ecology, health humanities, apocalyptic spaces, folk planetary and eco-criticism.
