Six held for stabbing two brothers to death

Varanasi: Two brothers were stabbed to death in Jaunpur after they stopped some locals from consuming alcohol at their roadside food kiosk in Jaunpur on Tuesday night.After a series of raids and encounters, Khetasarai and Shahganj police arrested six assailants who had come to take part in a marriage function, when they tried to escape after opening fire on the cops.In exchange of fire with the police, three of them suffered bullet injuries in their legs.Providing details of the police action on Wednesday, circle officer, Shahganj, Shubham Todi said, Police had reached Khetasarai market on getting information that two street vendors had been attacked. Police rushed the duo to the hospital but the doctors declared them dead.
