Court to hear advocate’s plea to make him party on Thurs

Varanasi: The court of district judge Ajay Krishna Vishvesha on Wednesday fixed Thursday for a hearing on the plea of advocate Vijay Shankar Rastogi demanding to make him a party in the civil suit filed by head priest of Acharya Ved Vyas Peeth temple, Shailendra Kumar Pathak Vyas to seek the appointment of a receiver of the cellar (Tehkhana) in the southern side of Gyanvapi mosque.Special government counsel for Gyanvapi cases, Rajesh Mishra said that no hearing on Rastogis plea could take place on Wednesday and the court fixed Thursday for the hearing.Vyas had filed his suit in September. After the completion of arguments of the plaintiff and defendant Anjuman Intejamia Masjid (Gyanvapi mosque management committee), the court had reserved its order on November 8. However, on the same day Rastogi filed his plea to become a party in this suit. Vyas filed his objection against the plea moved by Rastogi, while the latter also filed his counter reply.
