Preps in full swing for PM’s proposed visit this month

Varanasi: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modis proposed visit to his parliamentary constituency in the last fortnight of this month, the district administration has started making preparations in full swing. According to sources, PM Modi is likely to attend the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 during his two-day proposed visit this month. Besides, he is also likely to address a public meeting, where he would inaugurate few ready projects, including the four-lane Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lehartara road and Namo Ghat.Speaking to TOI on Tuesday, divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma said though there was no intimation regarding dates of the PMs proposed visit, but a list of ready projects for inauguration and new projects for foundation laying is being finalized, in view of the strong possibility of the PMs two-day visit this month. Officials are also making preparations for events, in which the PM is likely to take part during his stay here either on December 17 or 18 or on other dates to be finalised by his office, the official added. Developers have the option to be part of the quality assurance framework. The consultation paper includes global best practices and provisions of the PMAY scheme.
