The Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 was a culmination of skirmishes that took place between April 1965 and September 1965 between Pakistan and India. It was in 1965 that the then PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, who had ordered the forces to cross the border and enter Pakistan. PM declares war on the recommendation of president.
