Odisha Lok Sabha Election 2024: In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, 17 out of 37 candidates contesting for four parliamentary seats are crorepatis, as revealed by a report from the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). Of 37 candidates who are in the fray for the Nabarangpur, Berhampur, Koraput and Kalahandi Lok Sabha constituencies, 17 candidates have declared their assets worth more than Rs 1 crore. The candidates from several political parties, including the BJP, BJD, Congress, independents, Bharatiya Bikash Parishad, and Naba Bharata Nirmana Seva Party, are among those who have announced their properties worth over Rs 1 crore, according to the ADR report. These Are The Crorepatis Candidates With total assets of Rs 41.89 crore, the BJP candidate for the Kalahandi Lok Sabha seat, Malvika Devi is the richest candidate. She was followed by an independent candidate for the Berhampur constituency, V Chandra Shekhar with total assets of Rs 28.70 crore and the Bharatiya Bikash Parishad nominee for Berhampur, Rajendra Dalabehera with Rs 10.30 crore. Notably, Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy, the BJP nominee for the Berhampur Lok Sabha constituency, holds the highest liabilities worth Rs 3.82 crore. Educational Qualifications Of Candidates In Fray Of the 37 candidates in the fray for the four Lok Sabha seats, 14 candidates have declared their educational qualification to be between class 5 and 12 passed, while 22 candidates have declared they are graduates. One candidate has declared himself to be just literate. Female Candidates In terms of gender representation, out of the total candidates, only seven are female. Candidates Age The age distribution reveals that 10 candidates are aged between 25 to 40 years, while 23 fall within the 41 to 60 years age group. Four candidates are between 61 and 70 years old.
