Mainpuri Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3 LIVE Voting News: The voting process in Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency is underway with voters lining up in the polling stations to cast their votes. The Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency, comprising five assembly segments is voting in Phase 3 of 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with results scheduled to be announced on June 4. The Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat has been a bastion for the SP since 1996.  The Samajwadi Party (SP) faces a crucial battle to uphold the legacy of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav. SP candidate and daughter-in-law of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav Dimple Yadav, is contesting against BJPs Jaiveer Singh and BSPs Shiv Prasad Yadav. The incumbent MP Dimple Yadav, who previously won the Mainpuri parliamentary by-election in December 2022, is facing a strong contest from the candidates this time. Despite the Modi wave in previous elections, the BJP has not managed to secure this seat. Jaiveer Singh, the tourism minister in the Uttar Pradesh BJP government, is challenging the SPs hold, asserting that the BJP will give a challenge to SP in Mainpuri. The SP has criticised the BJP-led central government for rampant unemployment and inflation, while the BJP candidate has expressed confidence in the partys groundwork. "There are a lot of relatives. Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) has been associated with the whole area. Our priority has been development of the area, and providing respect, help, facilities to the people. BJP resorts to undemocratic ways to breach.
