HMSI reported growth in domestic sales of two wheelers compared to last year

Total sales for the company in August 2020 stood at 443,969 units, marking a decline of 1.8 percent as against 452,551 units in the same period last year.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday reported a growth of 0.6 percent in its domestic two-wheeler sales. However, HSMI reported decline of 1.8 percent in total sales in August 2020 compared to same month last year.

 428,231 units in the month of August 2020 was sold as against 425,664 units sold in August 2019.

Exports for the company stood at 15,738 units in the month under review, down 41 percent as compared to 26,887 units in August 2019.

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “In August, over 90 percent of our network is back to business and we are seeing some green shoots with higher customer enquiries. Honda’s domestic sales crossed 4 lac units’ mark for the first time this fiscal on back of improved supplies and higher utilization of production capacity.”
