We have decided to boycott the evaluation process till our demands are met with.” The teachers’ association has also decided to skip the main demonstration session to be conducted by the chief examiners on Saturday, before the evaluation starts.Secretary of UP Board, Neena Srivastava, said, “The demands made by the teachers’ association are not feasible. The board would continue with the evaluation process as per the schedule.” Teachers would be evaluating the answer sheets from March 8-15.State treasurer of the association, Mahesh Kumar Yadav, said, “The government is not fulfilling our main demand of repealing the National Pension Scheme. Allahabad: Seeking the rollback of the National Pension Scheme, over 75,000 educators associated with a UP Board teachers association have decided to boycott the evaluation of answer sheets of class X and XII students to press for their demands.UP Board high school and intermediate examinations started on February 7 and would conclude on March 2.The decision was taken during a meeting of the Teachers’ Association of Secondary Schools (Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh) (Chetnatrayan faction), in the city on Monday.Board officials said that around 1.40 lakh teachers have been roped in to grade answer sheets under CCTV surveillance at schools across the state.The board would start with the evaluation process as per schedule, said UP Board officials.
