Ghaziabad officials inspect Dilshad Garden-New Bus Adda metro line ahead of inauguration

GHAZIABAD: District magistrate of Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari and Ghaziabad Development Authority(GDA) vice chairperson Kanchan Verma on Friday carried out joint inspection of metro stations on Dilshad Garden-New Bus Adda metro line.
The 9.41 km route length is entirely built on an elevated platform having eight stations in Ghaziabad namely, Shaheed Nagar, Raj Bagh, Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park, Mohan Nagar, Arthala, Hindon river and Ghaziabad New Bus Adda.
The inspection is seen as a part of preparations before inauguration of the corridor likely after 25 February.“We inspected New Bus Adda and Hindon river metro stations and it was proposed that inauguration function should be held at Hindon river station,” said Kanchan Verma, vice chairperson, GDA.
All along 9.41 km, about 400 pillars have been erected at a height between 10m to 12m from ground.
This was followed by Union cabinet giving its approval to the project on 23 January and finally the nod of Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on 6 February.
